Audition dates:

For in person auditions: there will be a registration table and everyone that comes to the audition and signs up before 9pm will be seen.

• April 27 (virtual only): Six: Teen Edition (all virtual auditions due by midnight)

• April 28, 6-9pm @ Granger HS (in person or virtual): Disney’s Moana Jr. (virtual due by midnight)

• April 29, 6-9pm @ Granger HS (in person or virtual): Disney’s The Lion King Jr. (virtual due by midnight)

Audition requirements:

• Character Descriptions

• Those auditioning can submit one of more of the follow videos. If submitting multiple, combine them into a single video.

  • Performers: prepare a 16 bar (~1 minute) cut of a contemporary musical theater song in the style of the show.

  • Dancers: prepare of 60 second video of you dancing in the style of the show.

  • Instrumentalists: submit a 60 second video of you playing your instrument, ideally with other people, in a pop/rock style.

Age requirements:

Casting is targeting high school youth and young adults, though there is no minimum age to audition. Participants must be under 19 for the Disney shows and under 20 for Six: Teen Edition. For Six: Teen Edition: the Queens must be played by cis women, trans women, trans people and people who exist beyond the gender binary in any capacity.

Participation fee:

If cast, all performers and instrumentalists will be required to pay a $100 participation fee. If that fee would deter you from auditioning, please email info@couragetheatre.org for more information about our Hardship Scholarship process.
