Courage Theatre Ticket Refund & Exchange Policy

1. General Sales Policy. All ticket sales are final sale. Courage Theatre does not offer refunds for missed performances, personal scheduling conflicts, or changes in personal plans.

2. Cancellations by Courage Theatre. In the event that Courage Theatre must cancel a performance, all ticket holders will receive a full refund equal to the complete purchase price, including all processing, facility, and ticketing fees. Refunds will automatically be issued to the original form of payment.

3. Rescheduled Performances. If a performance is postponed or rescheduled, cash/credit refunds will not be offered:

  • Single-Performance Events: Tickets automatically remain valid for the newly rescheduled date.

  • Multi-Performance Runs: Patrons may request a transfer to any other performance date within the same production run, subject to seating availability.

4. Ticket Exchanges. Patrons may request to exchange their tickets for a different performance date of the same production, subject to the following terms:

  • Deadline: Exchange requests must be submitted at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled curtain time of the original performance.

  • Availability: Exchanges are not guaranteed and are strictly subject to seating availability.

  • Price Tier Adjustments:

    • If exchanging into a higher-priced performance or seating section, the patron must pay the difference in ticket price.

    • If exchanging into a lower-priced performance or seating section, the price difference will not be refunded or credited.

5. Ticket Donation Conversion. If you are unable to attend a performance and do not wish to exchange your ticket, you may forfeit your ticket in exchange for a tax-deductible donation to Courage Theatre equal to the ticket’s face value. Donation conversion requests must be made at least 24 hours prior to curtain time.

6. Late Seating & Arrival Policy. Performances begin promptly at the advertised curtain time.

  • If a patron arrives after the performance has started, their originally assigned seat may be forfeited.

  • If space is still available in the venue, latecomers will be seated on a best-effort basis by the front-of-house staff at a suitable pause in the performance.

  • No refunds, partial refunds, or prorations will be issued for late arrivals or missed portions of the performance.

7. Inclement Weather & Force Majeure. As long as the performance takes place as scheduled, standard final sale policies apply regardless of weather conditions. If an event is cancelled by Courage Theatre due to severe weather, government mandate, or other force majeure events beyond our control, standard cancellation refunds will apply.

8. Cast, Artist, & Program Changes. Cast rosters, creative teams, performance details, and programming are subject to change without notice. Substitutions or changes in cast or programming do not entitle ticket holders to refunds or exchanges.

9. Third-Party Purchases & Personal Transfers.

  • Third-Party Vendors: This policy applies strictly to tickets purchased directly through Courage Theatre’s official Box Office or website. Courage Theatre is not responsible for, nor can it offer exchanges or refunds on, tickets purchased through unauthorized third-party resellers or secondary markets.

  • Personal Transfers: Tickets are non-refundable, but patrons are welcome to pass or sell their tickets directly to another individual. Courage Theatre will not facilitate, broker, or process payments for personal ticket transfers.
